About 30 people gathered to protest Niagara's mandatory mask bylaw.
The rally was held outside Niagara Regional Headquarters in Thorold.
Another demonstration by the Niagara chapter of Hugs Over Masks will happen at the same place at noon tomorrow.
The group isn't against wearing a mask if someone wants to, they have concerns over being forced to wear one.
They say it instills fear.
The protests come ahead of the Regional Council meeting next Thursday, where the option of extending the mandatory mask bylaw is expected to be discussed.
Right now, it expires at the end of the month.
