The source of the substance has not been identified
The Ministry of the Environment is investigating after a mysterious substance was found in the Welland River in Niagara Falls.
According to the Ministry, it received a report last week about a strong odour and white milky substance discharging to the river.
The City of Niagara Falls was called in to contain the release and prevent it from spreading.
The Ministry adds there hasn't been any environmental impact to aquatic life.
It's not yet known what the substance is, and an investigation has been launched to determine the source.
