Gates says he was involved in a "pretty serious" crash this weekend.
Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates says he is "fine and doing well" after a "pretty serious" car crash this weekend.
The MPP took to Facebook earlier today, to thank emergency crews who provided assistance to him at the scene.
Gates says he is dealing with some sore ribs and a sore chest, but doctors tell him a few days rest will do the trick.
The Standard reports the collision occurred at the intersection of Portage Road and Valley Way just before 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, and he was alone in his vehicle.
There is no word on whether anyone else was injured, and the NRP and Gates' office haven't responded to a request for comment.
