Niagara Falls Turning Blue Tonight in Support of Nurses

It's National Nursing Week, and Niagara Falls is marking the occasion by turning blue tonight.

The illumination will occur between 10:00 and 10:15 tonight.

Niagara Health, as well as hospital sites in Brant, Burlington, Haldimand and Hamilton will also light up their buildings in blue tonight in celebration of nurses.

Niagara Health is also honouring its over 2,100 nurses this week through the Nursing Excellence Awards.

Twenty-two awards will be given out in eight categories to recognize nurses for their caring of patients and loved ones.

The award recipients were selected from 92 nominees.
