Betty Disero is calling a State of Emergency for Niagara-on-the-Lake.
The Lord Mayor made the announcement last night.
The move gives the mayor the authority to make decision and take quick action without a council vote.
Disero says hundreds are returning to Niagara-on-the-Lake from vacation and the actions over the next few days are critical.
Everyone returning to Canada must go into a 14-day self-isolation.
This means no stops on the way home for the airport, or running out for supplies, like groceries.
