Niagara West MPP Sam Oosterhoff has announced $4,068,100.00 in funding for social services in the region.
The money will be used towards improving the delivery of critical services, ensuring the protection of homeless shelter staff and residents, and the creation of longer-term housing solutions.
Oosterhoff says that the government is working hard to keep vulnerable citizens safe during the pandemic.
"We know that COVID-19 has highlighted the importance of having a place to call home, and this additional funding will help ensure everyone can find and keep a safe and secure roof over their head."
The announcement is part of the provincial government's $510 million investment through the Social Services Relief Fund.
