It's a chance to honour that green thumb in your life

Nominations are open for the St. Catharines' Trillium Awards.

Residents are invited to nominate front yard properties that "stand out from the rest" when it comes to gardens, horticulture and landscaping.

The city says it is a way "to recognize and honour those who go above and beyond in efforts to support civic beautification and environmental sustainability."

All properties in St. Catharines, including residential and commercial properties, are eligible to participate in this year’s awards.
