Officials say low-lying areas may experience flooding due to rainfall over the last two days.
A word of caution from the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority.
A Watershed Conditions Statement has been released, saying low lying areas could experience flooding due to the amount of rainfall in Niagara, as well as the eastern portions of Hamilton and Haldimand County.
Authorities say between 16-48 mm of rain has fallen into the watershed over the last 48 hours, with an additional 5-10 mm expected into the early morning hours.
While flooding isn't expected in major watercourses like the Welland River and 20 Mile Creek, officials say there may be flooding in low-lying areas.
Residents are urged to keep themselves, children and pets away from streams and creeks, and municipalities are being asked to keep an eye out for debris clogging culverts, catch basins, and other storm infrastructure.
The NPCA says the notice is currently in effect until noon tomorrow.
