Suspect was armed with a handgun
Niagara Regional Police are looking for help identifying a suspect in an armed robbery in St. Catharines.
It happened yesterday afternoon at the Esso Gas Station on St. Paul Street West.
NRP say a lone male entered the store armed with a handgun and stole a chocolate bar, cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash from the till.
The suspect fled on foot from the scene.
The lone clerk was not harmed.
A NRPS K9 Unit along with officers from the NRPS Emergency Task Unit commenced a search of the area for the suspect.
The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20's, about 5’8 with a slender build.
He was wearing grey track pants, running shoes, black long sleeve sweater with a small white Nike swoosh on it, a beige bucket hat, blue surgical mask and dark sunglasses.
