Second raid this month on licenced cannabis grow operation

Police armed with a search warrant seized over 1,200 plants worth over a million dollars and close to 4,000 pounds of processed cannabis worth close to $4 million from a grow site in Wainfleet yesterday.

Police also seized a large sum of cash from a safe in the residence.

Two men from Markham, identified as 31 year old Wesong Zhang and 37 year old Hui Yn Chen, are charged with harvesting cannabis without authorization, possession of cannabis for the purpose of distributing and selling as well as possession of the proceeds of a crime.
