Road closure will be in place due to Niagara Falls Marathon
There will be some closures on the Niagara Parkway on Sunday.
The Niagara Falls Marathon will take place from 5:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
The official start and finish line will be at the Toronto Power Generating Station overlooking the Falls.
Niagara Parks says the road will be fully closed between Thompson Road in Fort Erie to Upper Rapids Blvd in Niagara Falls.
The northbound lanes of the Niagara Parkway will be closed from Fraser Hill to Upper Rapids Blvd, and vehicle access to Dufferin Islands will be closed for the day.
Residents will be provided access during the closure.
For parking, access to Niagara Parks' Falls Parking Lot (Lot A)and the Floral Showhouse Parking Lot (Lot B) will be open.
As for public transportation, Northbound WEGO bus pick-up opposite the Floral Showhouse will not be available during the event, but all other WEGO bus service operations will not be affected.
