Town council has approved the capital and operating budgets, with a final tax levy increase of 4.84-percent, after a 2.09% assessment growth.
The increase is for an average residential property valued at $377,000.
The capital budget focuses on roads, buildings and machinery, while the operating budget covers day to day expenses for programs and services.
The town adds the water and wastewater budget is finalized in February, with taxpayers receiving the new bill in the spring.
Treasurer Teresa Quinlin-Murphy points out the town's priorities are improved financial health, managing reserves, levels of debt and impact to property taxes.
