Walmart store temporarily evacuated after receiving a call about a bomb
A Walmart store in Welland was temporarily evacuated last night after a fake bomb threat was phoned in.
Around 8:43 p.m., police were called to the store at 102 Primeway Drive.
Investigators say an employee received an anonymous call that there was a bomb inside the store, and the store was evacuated.
NRPS Canine Maverick, who is trained in detecting explosives, attended the scene and conducted a sweep.
No explosives were found inside the store, and the evacuation order was lifted around 9:45 p.m.
