Police say they took bag of money after it was mistakenly left by a man
Police are looking for two women after the theft of over $5,000 from the Walmart store in Welland.
Officers were called just after 7pm, on November 23rd, to find a man had arrived at the store to do some shopping, with a bag containing the money.
He set it on the floor, and mistakenly walked away, and when he came back, the bag was gone.
Video surveillance shows two women found the bag, looked inside, and took it.
Police say they bought several items with the money, left the store, and were seen leaving the area in a white Toyota Camry, the plate is not known.
One of the women is about 50 years old, with tanned skin, roughly 5'3, and wearing a maroon winter jacket, blue jeans, black and white shoes, yellow toque and yellow scarf.
The other woman, in her 20s, is tanned skinned, about the same height, with brown, long hair tied in a bun, and wearing a purple winter jacket, black t-shirt, blue jeans, and black and white shoes.
