Niagara woman wants justice for her daughter
Niagara Regional police are stepping up their efforts to put drug pushers behind bars.
The Review is reporting police have arrested three people so far this year in relation to drug overdoses, and due to the rise of opioid related deaths.
One of those arrests was a Hamilton man last week, charged with trafficking fentanyl, after the death of another man in St. Catharines.
A Niagara area woman, Angela Telford, recently revealed she lost her daughter to a drug overdose last year, and there have been no arrests of whoever is responsible for those drugs.
Police say the three arrests are more than they've ever done, however, they add it can be difficult to gather the resources to get a conviction.
