Pope Francis is expected to deliver a formal apology for the Roman Catholic Church's role in residential schools this morning.
CANADA - Pope Francis has arrived in Canada.
He touched down at Edmonton International Airport yesterday, where he was greeted by Indigenous representatives, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and Governor General Mary Simon.
Pope Francis will visit a former residential school site in Maskwacis this morning, where he's expected to apologize for Roman Catholic Church's role in residential schools. Some of the survivors will be on site for the formal apology.
