Doug Ford is expected to give an update today on the province’s COVID-19 vaccination plan.
Ford will be joined this afternoon by Health Minister Christine Elliott, Solicitor General Sylvia Jones and retired General Rick Hillier, who heads the province's COVID-19 vaccine distribution task force
On Friday, the premier told a Windsor radio station he was willing to drive a refrigerated truck to Michigan himself to pick up more doses of the Pfizer vaccine from the companies plant in Kalamazoo.
Ontario and the rest of the country were left scrambling last week when Pfizer announced it was temporarily halting shipments of the vaccine from its plant in Belgium while it retools the production line to produce more vaccines.
