Premier Doug Ford says the province will release clear, sector-specific labour guidelines for businesses later this week.
He says it’s the next step towards reopening Ontario’s economy.
“In the coming days and weeks as we move to open more parts of the economy, as more workplaces open up having clear safety guidelines in place will be critical to keeping COVID-19 at bay.”
He says it will be based on the best medical advice and scientific evidence available, to make sure businesses in Niagara and beyond can operate safely in this new reality.
Ford also says reopening the economy is a process and the framework released yesterday is just the beginning.
