Ontario's top doctor says that the province's daily case count must be less than 1000 before restrictions are lifted.
Dr. David Williams says that the province's case numbers are high, the impact of the lockdown that started on Boxing Day is emerging.
He says that in recent weeks, the province's case count has dropped from the mid 3000s to around 3000.
Williams also stated that he wants to see that province's hospitalization rate at 150 before restrictions ease.
Currently, there are 395 people with the virus in Ontario hospitals.
Today, the province announced 2578 new cases.
