Sources says announcement expected soon
According to the government sources, the temporary wage hike given to Personal Support Workers in long term care homes during the pandemic will become permanent.
Sources say the Ford government will introduce legislation this month to make the hike permanent before it expires March 31st.
More than 158,000 workers who provide publicly funded services in home and community care, long-term care, public hospitals and social services will benefit from the move.
