More people are getting tested for COVID-19 as Niagara moves into Stage Three of reopening.
Niagara Health says the Assessment Centres in the Region are seeing record numbers of walk-ins for testing.
Walk-ins more than doubled from Wednesday to Thursday last week at the centres in Niagara Falls and St. Catharines.
The number of people going in for testing increased daily from Monday to Thursday.
Niagara Health is encouraging people to book an appointment for testing to avoid line-ups.
The Assessment Centres are open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Sunday in Niagara Falls and St. Catharines.
In Welland, it's open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Calling in advance is the easiest way to get a COVID-19 test.
