Salony Sharma from Niagara Falls appointed panel chair, Keegan Hedley of Grimsby is vice chair
In a release, Regional Chair Jim Bradley says the Youth Advisory Panel was developed to provide himself and Regional Council with a fresh perspective on matters that affect young people across the region.
Bradley adding some of the potential topics of discussion may include environmental issues, public transportation, housing and homelessness and mental health.
He also notes the panel which is made up of 12 students from across Niagara, will also serve as a place to facilitate inter-municipal discussions and information sharing between the 12 municipalities.
Youth Advisory Panel members serve a one-year term, with an optional one-year extension.
The panel is made up of the following students:

- Benjamin Zalepa, Niagara-on-the-Lake
