Inspectors reporting about 54 percent compliance.
22 tickets were issued at big box stores in Niagara during a weekend inspection blitz to make sure the businesses are complying with COVID 19 rules and regulations.
The Ministry of Labour says 125 big box stores and essential businesses were inspected in the region during the blitz.
Some of the major issues revolved around a failure to post safety plans, inadequate screening of staff and customers, too many people in stores as well as mask related violations.
