Niagara Transportation Services warning parents of disruptions
Officials are warning that school bus driver shortages and resulting delays and cancellations that often plague the start of the school year are being exacerbated by the pandemic, and may continue well into the fall semester in some areas of Ontario.
Niagara Student Transportation Services (NSTS) is warning of possible problems.
A letter was sent home to parents yesterday warning of potential service disruptions and how they'll notify parents of any route cancellations due to staffing shortages.
NSTS says they are actively seeking new drivers and working on retention efforts.
Any route cancellations will be posted on the NSTS website in the Delays & Cancellations portal.
