Port Colborne officials reminding residents to take steps to keep skunks, rats and coyotes away from their property this winter.
City officials say with the colder temperatures, animals and rodents are on the lookout for food supplies and a place to call home during the chillier months.
The city’s Public Safety Director Tom Cartwright says "With people staying at home due to COVID-19 restrictions, we’re noticing an increase in household waste. This time of year, rodents are constantly looking for food sources. Please keep all food in sealed containers, dispose of garbage regularly, and ensure garbage bin lids are securely fastened."
