St. Catharines City Council will hold a special council meeting over video-conference.
The public will be able to live-stream it on YouTube this Friday starting at 2:00 p.m.
The province is allowing municipalities to hold electronic meetings during the COVID-19 crisis.
Mayor Walter Sendzik says protecting public health is their top priority at this time, and holding virtual meetings will eliminate the need for councillors and members of the public to leave their homes if they want to participate.
