Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has been cleared in the WE Charity scandal.
Federal Ethics Commissioner Mario Dion ruled today that Trudeau didn't breach the Conflict of Interest Act, but former finance minister Bill Morneau did.
Dion says Morneau had the opportunity to improperly further the charity's private interests.
He also claims Morneau showed the charity preferential treatment through a high amount of involvement between their representatives.
In a Tweet, Morneau said this morning that he should have removed himself from cabinet discussions relating to the WE Charity's summer student grants program.
