Former Unifor President accused of violating the union's code of ethics.
Unifor says former president Jerry Dias accepted $50,000 from a supplier of COVID-19 rapid test kits.
The union notes its investigation determined that Dias then promoted the kits to union member employers, several of whom bought them.
Dias is charged with violating Unifor's code of ethics and democratic practices.
Before the findings were announced, Dias issued a statement saying he is entering a rehab facility to conquer his use of alcohol, painkillers and sleeping pills.
