UPDATE: Police Identify Suspect After Harriet Tubman Statue Vandalized

Incident not believed to be a hate crime.

Investigators say on Sunday, an unknown man attended the Salem Chapel British Methodist Episcopal Church in St. Catharines and damaged the tribute on purpose.

Twenty-four year old Jessie Lohnes-Alanko of no fixed address is wanted for Mischief Over $5,000 and failing to comply with probation.

There is currently no evidence suggesting this was a hate crime.
