An 83 year old man has died after being hit by a car in Welland.
One man is dead following an incident in Welland.
Police say around 6:40 p.m. last night, officers received a report of a pedestrian being hit by a car near East Main Street and McAlpine Avenue South.
The 83 year old was on a bicycle, travelling southbound on East Main Street, when he pulled in front a white Toyota Corolla heading eastbound.
The car swerved in an attempt to avoid contact with the cyclist, and collided into a wall.
The cyclist was taken to hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver was uninjured.
