New location coming in November
The Village of Hope will open a second location next month.
The facility, which is currently under renovation, will feature walk-in coolers and freezer, which will allow the organization to store more fresh food throughout the year.
As well, the charity will offer food and shelter programs and services at the new location, including job search and employment skills training.
Currently, Village of Hope assists over 500 clients a month.
Meanwhile, the location at the former Jordan Public School will remain operational, providing community members with an emergency access foodbank, thrift store, worker training and services, bicycle repair clinic and the Safe at Home program.
