Metrolinx is advising GO Transit customers to give themselves extra time when heading out this weekend
If you are using Go Transit this weekend, you'll need yourself extra time to get to your destination.
Metrolinx says from 9:00 p.m. tonight until the end of service on Sunday, there will be a temporary service change on the Lakeshore West line between Oakville and West Harbour GO.
Due to infrastructure work on the corridor, GO buses will replace trains between Oakville and West Harbour.
Customers traveling to Niagara can bypass the bus replacement by starting their train trip at the Aldershot GO station, or take the route 12 bus from Burlington to Niagara Falls.
If you're going to Toronto, you're advised to go straight to the Oakville GO station to start your trip.
Customers using bus shuttles will experience longer than usual wait times while transferring between trains and buses.
Train and bus connections for routes 12, 15, 18 and 21 will also be impacted.
Regular service will resume on Monday.
You can plan your trip using gotransit.com or triplinx.ca.
