The city is having open house with regional procurement experts to help businesses grow
The City of Welland is working to help businesses around the region become stronger and have a better understanding of how buying works.
The first Purchasing Open House is Thursday, at the Welland Community Centre, bringing together procurement professionals from across Niagara.
Fort Erie, Lincoln, Niagara Falls, Port Colborne and St. Catharines are getting involved.
The open house is designed to break down barriers that have discouraged smaller businesses from going after government contracts.
They'll be able to ask questions about bidding processes, and learn about support available to businesses looking to grow in Niagara.
