The "Welcome Back Welland" plan beat out 6,000 submissions in this year's MarCom Awards, snagging a Gold in the Strategic Communications, Crisis Communication Plan or Response Category.
MarCom presents the award to entries that exceed industry expectations.
The plan outlined the City's health and safety measures to keep residents safe from the spread of COVID-19.
