A new CT scanner has arrived at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital (WLMH).
Yesterday, the scanner was launched by members of Hamilton Health Sciences and West Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
Planning for the scanner started in 2014, and will help meet increasing demand for scans.
The machine will provide over 7,000 scans a year, serving both inpatients and outpatients requiring scans for several conditions, diagnoses and treatments.
Funding was provided via donations to the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation.
WLMH is currently in the final planning stages of being rebuilt, and construction is expected to start in late spring 2022.
Once the new structure is built, the scanner will be transferred there.
