Pathstone Mental Health is looking for families to participate in a research study.
Pathstone Mental Health is teaming up with the Offord Centre for Child Studies to take a look at two new parenting programs.
The Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) and the Circle of Security Parenting Program (COSP) offer ways for parents and caregivers to help children develop practical skills while decreasing challenging behaviours.
The study will examine which of the programs benefit families and kids more, and determine if these options are better than existing ones.
According to the Offord Centre's 2020 Ontario Parent Survey, 40 percent of parents said their children's behaviour and mood has worsened during the pandemic.
Families with kids between the ages of 2 and 6 are encouraged to participate, and parents will receive gift cards in exchange for their time completing interviews.
