Dispute centres around border restrictions
It all began when Doug Ford sent several letters to Justin Trudeau demanding more strict measures at the border for non essential travellers.
The Trudeau Liberals responded, they were willing to help, but accused the Ford government of failing to make any specific requests.
The Premier has responded with another letter to the PM saying Canadians "expect their governments to work together, and that is why I am once again asking for your help to address the issues at our borders."
Ford reiterating his three requests to stop the spread of deadly COVID variants, including reducing incoming international flights, mandatory pre departure PCR testing for all domestic air passengers entering Ontario and close the loophole at the land border by implementing a mandatory 3 day hotel quarantine in designated hotels at the highest traffic crossings including Niagara.
