NRP release latest impaired driving stats.
Eight people are facing impaired driving charges following a series of R.I.D.E. checks in Niagara.
The charges were laid between October 3rd and October 9th.
Police say the individuals range from 19 to 59 years old.
Charges were laid for driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs, driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit, or refusing to provide a breath or blood sample.
The NRP is reminding the public that impaired driving is the leading cause of criminal deaths in the country.
