NRP release latest impaired driving stats.
Eight people are facing impaired driving charges following a series of R.I.D.E. checks in Niagara.
The arrests were made between August 22nd - 28th.
The offenders range from 20 to 76 years old.
Charges were laid for impaired driving by alcohol or drugs, driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit, or refusing to provide a breath or blood sample.
Each person also received a 90 day license suspension.
The NRP says impaired driving is the leading cause of criminal deaths in Canada.
