Fire department made aware of the downed hydro lines Monday night in Niagara Falls
It appears some downed hydro lines may be the reason behind an internet outage in Niagara Falls.
Niagara Falls fire department tells us they came across some live wires Monday evening in the Jepson and 4th Avenue area, that were lighting up the sky.
Police say they evacuated some nearby homes for a time.
They add they didn't receive any other calls for service, leading them to believe the hydro lines were behind the Cogeco outage that's plagued some areas for the last 2 days, including our radio stations at 105.1 The River and 101.1 MoreFM.
