They have teamed up to create a COVID-19 care strategy.
The hospitals in Niagara, Hamilton, Hadimand, Norfolk, Brant and Burlington have decided to work together in order to tackle any surge in cases.
They have narrowed down four hospitals in order to treat patients with severe symptoms and Niagara Health's St. Catharines site is one of them.
The other locations include Hamilton Health Sciences (Hamilton General Hospital), Joseph Brant Hospital and St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton.
Norfolk General Hospital and the Brant Community Healthcare System will also continue to treat COVID-19 patients and they will be able to transfer to the designated hospitals if need be.
